Give a Marylhurst Tree a Second chance at life...

Due to health and safety concerns at our Oregon City campus, a tree had to be removed. Help us take what was and build it into material we can use to make new bench seating and supports to build new garden beds at the Oregon City and West Linn campuses. We will be able to make 10 benches and some garden beds. This is a unique opportunity to support the cost of sustainably milling this tree into material we can use and to dedicate one of the benches to the a teacher, alum, class, family, pet, or person of your choice. We will provide a custom plaque that will remain on on the bench for its' lifetime.

Your support will help us pay the cost to bring the milling machine and operator to campus, mill the logs into lumber onsite, and haul the lumber to a facility to dry. Finally, the cured wood will be brought back to our campuses to make benches and garden beds later this summer.

Milling will occur later this Spring. Construction on garden beds and benches will occur during summer 2021 in time for Back to School in September.
